Doomsday asteroid, robots inhering the Earth, super volcanoes, alien invasion or big freeze??
I watched the Discovery channel today and the topic was the world`s end. It is unbilievable how many scenarios there are. I`m in medical school and the one that interested me the most is called `Silver mucus`. You probably wonder what the silver mucus has to do with medicine - I`ll tell you.
We all know how medicine is `getting better` over the past few years. Well, there is a chance that there could be created small `robots` that would be `injected` into our body whenever we are in need of a surgery. They would do the doctor`s job. For example: if we need a surgery for getting out the tumor, the doctor will inject these robots into our bloodstream and they will, kind of, find the tumor and destroy it. The only problem is that these robots will have to reproduct theirself. How? - They would turn everything that they touch into another robot. So if we had 2 robots, now we`ll have 4. And that 8...and so on. The result is the `silver mucus` - every single atom on the Earth, and even the Earth itself will be turned into a giant `nest` of these robots...
